Marsa Al Seef

The story of Marsa al Seef is one of the future and progress but cannot be told without first embracing the past. Meraas’ ambition is to create a unique destination that celebrates that legacy and makes it relevant for the future reclaiming and reviving a valued part of our heritage. The vision is to form a multi-use attraction alive with a floating market, restaurants, retail, hotels, events space and marina plus the unique cultural mix of craft workshops, galleries and museums that will entice locals and tourists hungry for an authentic local experience.

Project Brief

To develop a brand that reflects an authentic reflection of the city and its spirit by preserving its inheritance whilst imbuing new stories and memories.

Solution

The passage of time is ever-present in culture and life and in the eternal flow of the water of the Creek. This sense of reality and perpetuity underpins the strategy and creative expression of the brand both in its identity form and its voice.  Supported by a colour palette that elegantly captures the location and its context, a journey line connects the past, present and future that always starts and ends in Marsa Al Seef.
